Low visibility may have contributed to a Maine plane crash.

According to wabi.com, the Maine Warden pilot crashed on Clear Lake might have been trying to ride out a snow squall before the Maine plane crash occurred.

Officials say pilots try to land on frozen lakes during squalls to avoid a plane crash.
