Each year, hundreds of thousands of Ohioans' lives are affected by some form of cancer. Many victims struggle to receive the care and assistance they need to overcome the disease. Luckily, there are organizations—like Cleveland’s The Gathering Place—that work to help those who are most in need.
The Gathering Place is a facility that opened in 2000 with the goal of offering programs and services free of charge to anyone suffering from cancer. Since that time, the nonprofit organization has been able to offer assistance to more than 27,000 Cleveland residents who are suffering from cancer.
At the law firm of Nurenberg, Paris, Heller & McCarthy, our team of Cleveland personal injury lawyers are working to help The Gathering Place in continuing its mission by taking part in the upcoming 2014 Race for the Place. The event is a 5K foot race that will take place in Cleveland on June 1.
Our team is continuing to search for both members and donations. More information about our efforts can be found on our Race for the Place team page.
Helping others is something we take great pride in at Nurenberg, Paris, Heller & McCarthy, and we encourage you to stay up to date with our latest charitable activities and events by regularly checking our Cleveland community involvement.

One of the most dangerous events that […]

These forms are intended to acknowledge the patient’s consent to the procedure and understanding of the risks involved. However, many patients wonder whether these release forms protect doctors, surgeons, and hospitals from malpractice […]

Proving medical malpractice is notoriously difficult. That’s because every patient is different, and bad outcomes can happen even when doctors, surgeons, and other healthcare providers are thorough, attentive, and follow all protocols and guidelines when treating patients. In addition to being difficult to prove, doctors, surgeons, and other providers rarely admit to malpractice when it […]

When people are hospitalized, they and their loved ones expect for them to get better. Unfortunately, that doesn’t always happen, and sometimes, their health declines because they contract diseases that are primarily found in hospitals. One of the most dreaded hospital-related illnesses is an intestinal illness caused by a bacteria called Clostridioides difficile, or C. […]

One of the most common traffic violations committed by any driver is driving with a burned-out headlight, taillight, brake light, or turn signal. While these traffic violations can be dangerous for drivers of pickup trucks, sedans, and SUVs, they can be extremely hazardous for drivers of semi-trucks—and the people driving near them. Burned out semi-truck […]
