Ford v. Talley Mach. Corp.

This U.S. Supreme Court decision held that Ohio’s statute tolling the statute of limitations against out-of-state defendants was unconstitutional and not retroactively applicable. Retroactive application of this decision would violate the right-to-a-remedy provision of the Ohio constitution inasmuch as it would deprive plaintiffs of their cause of action even though they reasonably relied on the tolling statute.
