Five people were left with an Ohio Auto Accident Injury following a four-vehicle collision that occurred over the weekend. Reports indicate the crash occurred Sunday evening at the intersection of Pine Lake Road and Route 45 in the town of Salem, Ohio.

According to an article released by the Salem News, a Trooper with the Ohio State Highway Patrol explained investigators determined a vehicle traveling southbound along State Route 45 had come to a stop at the intersection. At the same time, another southbound vehicle failed to see the car stopped at the intersection and plowed into its rear end.

The impact of the initial crash forced the vehicle that was hit into lanes of traffic along Pine Lake Road, where two oncoming motorcycles struck it.

Paramedics were called to the scene and rushed all five seriously injured motorists to local trauma centers for further treatment.

Troopers say they are continuing to examine what contributing factors may have played a part in causing the crash, and have confirmed charges may be filed pending the outcome of the investigation.
