An investigation is currently being conducted on a massive Ohio Auto Accident that occurred this past week and was responsible for the death of one motorist, 27 others being injured, along with damage to more than 100 vehicles. The Akron Beacon Journal, stated the incident occurred Monday on Interstate-275, outside Cincinnati, Ohio.
Experts say a snowstorm in the area may have been responsible for causing a driver to lose control and collide with another vehicle. This accident set off a chain-reaction accident along the interstate that stretched for miles. In fact, witnesses stated vehicles were still colliding towards the end of the chain of crashed vehicles as people involved towards the beginning of the accident were getting out of their cars and trucks.
The sheer volume of those involved in the accident will cause the investigation to be a slow process. Experts say it could take weeks for a report on the collision to be completed. If officers decide to place blame for the accident on a particular driver, it could also mean years of court litigation for motorists involved as they begin the process of suing the motorists who struck their vehicle.
The Ohio Injury Lawyers with Nurenberg, Paris, Heller & McCarthy recognize how complex filing for compensation following an accident can be and may be able to clarify your legal rights if you have been hurt in a car accident that was no fault of your own.
