NTSB to Debate Large Bird Strikes

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is meeting to discuss the problem of bird-airplane collision. Bird strikes gained national attention after the near-fatal accident of US Airways Flight 1549, which crash landed into the Hudson River on January 15, 2009. The NTSB plans to discuss water landing techniques and FAA engine safety standards.
