A man is dead after his homemade plane crashed just east of Lenhardt Airpark, according to statesmanjournal.com.
The man died in the plane crash shortly after takeoff; however, his dog, also on the plane during the plane crash, survived.
The Federal Aviation Administration is still investigating the plane crash.
