Ovarian cancer is a very serious health risk numerous women in the United States face each year. In fact, estimates show as many as 28,000 women are diagnosed with the disease each year.
Research is the key to finding a cure to this deadly disease, which is why the Cleveland personal injury attorneys with the law firm of Nurenberg, Paris, Heller & McCarthy have named a local nonprofit organization that is working to raise awareness about Ovarian cancer as the firm’s charity of the month.
Outrun Ovarian Cancer has been assisting in the battle against this disease for more than 11 years. To help raise funds and awareness for their cause, they are holding a 5k and 1-mile family fun run at the beginning of next month.
The race will take place August 2 at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. The event will kick off with a rally and survivors’ tribute prior to the running of the races, which will begin at 9 a.m.
There are several ways you can help support the battle against Ovarian cancer and the upcoming race. The first is to sign up and run. The second is to go to our firm’s Facebook page and click the “Like” button. For each new and unique “Like” we receive through the end of the month, we will donate $2 to Outrun Ovarian Cancer.
We love supporting our community and encourage you to stay up to date with our latest service projects by checking out the community involvement page of our website.
