Martindale-Hubbell is associated with LexisNexis® as a lawyer rating service. The company provides clients of attorneys with a platform through which they can leave reviews about the lawyer they used. The review covers several aspects of service, including communication, responsiveness, quality of service, and value for the money spent.
To be considered for a Client Distinction Award, an attorney must receive a Client Review Rating Score of at least 4.5 on a 5.0 scale. The award is given to less than 1 percent of the some 900,000 attorneys named in the system.
