This annual referral guide lists preeminent American attorneys that have been singled out by an exhaustive peer-review process, including detailed evaluation surveys by other lawyers. The listed attorneys are categorized by their areas of expertise.
New candidates are nominated by existing Best Lawyers in America members that know and respect their work, and are subsequently voted to the list by general consensus. The list is considered to be reliable and unbiased, since lawyers are elected by peers and can not pay to be included.
David M. Paris, the president and managing partner of Nurenberg, Paris, Heller & McCarthy, practices in the areas of complex personal injury and wrongful death caused by medical malpractice, defective products, and motor vehicle accidents. He is certified by NBTA as a Civil Trial Specialist and also chairs the firm’s class action department. He is the past president of the Cleveland Academy of Trial Attorneys and a Fellow in the International Academy of Trial Lawyers.
