Court watcher TopVerdict.com monitors trial outcomes in the U.S. and recognizes the lawyers with the largest verdicts. TopVerdict.com honored NPHM partner Pamela Pantages for achieving one of Illinois’ top verdicts in 2017. Pamela’s case resulted in a Cook County (Chicago) jury verdict for a 7-year old girl who sustained a permanent brachial plexus injury because the defendant obstetrician failed to recognize a shoulder dystocia during her birth.
Pamela struck again a year later when a Montgomery County (Dayton, Ohio) jury unanimously concluded that the defendant obstetrician negligently injured Pamela’s client during a shoulder dystocia. That jury compensated a 10-year old boy for $2.75 million.
NPHM is very proud of Pamela and everyone on our birth injury team. You can read more about her here.

Proving medical malpractice is notoriously difficult. That’s because every patient is different, and bad outcomes can happen even when doctors, surgeons, and other healthcare providers are thorough, attentive, and follow all protocols and guidelines when treating patients. In addition to being difficult to prove, doctors, surgeons, and other providers rarely admit to malpractice when it […]

When people are hospitalized, they and their loved ones expect for them to get better. Unfortunately, that doesn’t always happen, and sometimes, their health declines because they contract diseases that are primarily found in hospitals. One of the most common traffic violations committed by any driver is driving with a burned-out headlight, taillight, brake light, or turn signal. While these traffic violations can be dangerous for drivers of pickup trucks, sedans, and SUVs, they can be extremely hazardous for drivers of semi-trucks—and the people driving near them. Burned out semi-truck […]
