Open Doors Academy
Open Doors Academy has been providing high-quality programming to kids after school since its founding as a nonprofit in 2002. It’s mission is to break the multi-generational cycle of poverty by working to protect, inspire, nurture, and challenge adolescents to reach their full potential. Today, ODA serves over 550 scholars and their families across Greater Cleveland, including kids from Euclid, Cleveland Heights, and Cleveland’s Slavic Village, Union Miles, St. Clair-Superior, and Near West Side neighborhoods. ODA provides year-round programming so that kids are safe and supervised after school and during the summer. To date, 100% of the kids who complete three years of ODA’s middle school program graduate from high school. And 97% of them enroll in a post-secondary option, like college, the military, or a vocational training program. 94% of those scholars graduate from their program.
