The Plaintiff was playing golf with a peer, using a rented golf cart. The Plaintiff’s peer was driving the cart on the designated path to the next hole when he lost control of the cart. The golf cart tipped to the left and proceeded on at an angle with the right side wheels in the air. As a result of the loss of control, the golf cart left the path and collided with a tree, causing the Plaintiff to be ejected from it. This collision resulted in permanent and disabling injuries for the Plaintiff, including multiple leg fractures. The jury found the operator of the golf cart to be negligent in operating the vehicle and awarded the verdict to the Plaintiff.
